Tralee, Caris & I had a fabulous w.e. over the 4th of July doing agility at the CCDS CPE Agility Trial at the Livestock Center, IL State Fairgrounds under Judge Mary Beam. Both girls Q’d 10/11 runs over the 3-day trial. Tralee finished 2-Level 4 titles and Caris 3-Level 2 titles.
The Kingsbridge girls had two outstanding agility weekends in June. Tralee completed her AKC Excellent Agility Jumpers With Weaves Preferred (AJP) title at the DOTC trial at Dog Sports at Kim’s in Caseyville the w.e. of June 12-14. Caris finished her AKC Open Jumpers With Weaves Preferred (OJP) the weekend before at the POTC trial at Avanti’s Dome in Pekin. Caris now has her AKC Versatile Companion Dog 2 (VCD2) title. So proud of my girls!
Here are our qualifying & placement ribbons from the CCTC AKC Agility Trial at The Sports Academy in Glen Carbon this past Mother’s Day weekend. Tralee qualified in 2 out of 4 total runs finishing her Excellent FAST Preferred (XFP) title, and qualifying in Excellent Agility Jumpers Preferred; Caris qualified in 5 out of 7 runs finishing her Open Agility Preferred (OAP) title, and qualifying in Open Jumpers Preferred and Open FAST Preferred.
At the Progress City Cluster of Dog Shows in Decatur, IL, on April 23 & 24, 2015, Caris earned two AKC Championship points. Under Judge Mrs. Mareth K. Kipp for 1st place in the Bred-By-Exhibitor class, Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex. Under Judge Mrs. Sue Sellers Rose for 1st place in the Bred-By-Exhibitor class, Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex. She was owner-handled by Kathleen Stevens. Caris’ brother, Jester (Clarenjoy Jester Progeny De Goose), earned his 1st point in the Open Dog class, Winners Dog and Best of Breed. He was handled by his owner, Beth Phelps.
Not to be outdone by her mother, Caris earned her AKC Versatile Companion Dog 1 title in March 2015. She has earned titles in three events: tracking, obedience and agility demonstrating her “versatility.” The letters VCD1 will be placed at the end of her name replacing the titles Companion Dog (CD), Novice Agility Preferred (NAP), Novice Jumpers Preferred (NJP) and Tracking Dog (TD).
In March 2013 Tralee earned her American Kennel Club Versatile Companion Dog 1 title by qualifying in obedience, tracking and agility. She also earned her Versatile Flat-Coated Retriever 1 Award from the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America on January 4, 2013 by qualifying in obedience, agility and hunting.
